Plants that Attract Butterflies

Select a warm, sunny location sheltered from high winds. Butterflies need sun to keep warm and most of the nectar rich plants they love grow best in full sun. Keep some flat stones around your plants so they have a place to rest and warm themselves. Maintain a patch of moist sand or a shallow bowl sunk to into the ground with wet sand, and your butterflies will be in paradise!
